Station 1: Fiber

Station 1: Included fiber being pulled about. You found the mass before and after and recorded the change in mass.

Claim: The mass didn't increase.

Evidence: When compared to the rest of the groups they came up with similar results. None of the results in any of the classes had a positive result. Most of the outcomes had no change in the mass. But only about four that had a negative mass change. The change was only of about .02 or .01 which could me that the scale had a margin of error.
My histogram shows this by having all of the values on or near zero.

Reasoning: The reasoning behind my claim and evidence is that the particles of the fiber didn't change. The stayed the exact same. The only difference in the particles is that they spread out a little bit. Spreading something out doesn't change the mass of something because none of the particles every left the system, they all remained leaving the same mass. Nothing was added to the system either so again no change in mass.
